Across Ontario

Online psychology across Ontario.

Live far from Oakville or Georgetown? I offer psychotherapy and parts of an assessment by secure video for clients anywhere in Ontario, in English and Polish. Access to a psychologist, especially a Polish-speaking one, can be limited outside the larger cities, and online sessions help close that gap.

What I offer online

Psychotherapy runs fully online. For assessments, the interview and feedback take place online and the testing portion is in person. Each service links to the details.

The testing portion of many assessments is done in person. See the location pages: Oakville · Georgetown. I also work in Polish.

Is online care right for you

Online care is convenient and effective for many people, though not in every situation. At the first conversation we decide together whether online is a good fit for your needs, or whether an in-person meeting would serve you better.

For a session you need a device with a camera, a quiet and private space, and a stable connection. It also helps to confirm where you are located, in case of an emergency.

Online sessions are not for emergencies. In a crisis, call 9-8-8 (Suicide Crisis Helpline), 9-1-1, or go to your nearest emergency department.

Common questions

Online in Ontario – in brief.

Do I have to be in Ontario?
Yes. As a psychologist registered in Ontario, I can work with people who are physically located in Ontario at the time of the session. Your home address does not matter, what matters is where you are during the meeting.
Can an assessment be done fully online?
Not always. Psychotherapy, the interview portion and the feedback meeting can take place online. The testing portion of many assessments must be done in person at the Oakville or Georgetown office, because the tests are standardized.
Are online sessions private and secure?
Sessions run on a PHIPA-compliant video platform. A quiet, private space and a stable connection help. No online communication is entirely free of risk, so sensitive matters are not discussed by email.
What if I am in crisis?
Online sessions are not for emergencies. In a crisis, call 9-8-8 (Suicide Crisis Helpline), 9-1-1, or go to your nearest emergency department.
