Children & adolescents
When a child is struggling, the whole family usually feels it. Sometimes it shows at school, sometimes in tension at the end of the day, sometimes in outbursts no one understands. I work with children and adolescents and bring parents in as part of the process, because change is usually strongest within the family relationship.

What therapy can help with
- School-related and learning concerns
- Anxiety and worry in children and teens
- Emotion regulation and managing anger
- Difficult behaviour and tension at home
- Support for parents in helping their child
How we work together
I combine work with the child and support for the family. Emotion-focused family therapy (EFFT) and a family-systems approach strengthen the bond and help parents support their child through difficult emotions. Where helpful, I use cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) adapted to the child's age. We agree the scope of the work together with the family at the start.
