Assessment that gives you answers.

Formal psychological and psychoeducational assessment in Oakville, Georgetown, and online across Ontario. Each assessment is conducted personally and concludes with a written clinical report.

An assessment helps make sense of how a person thinks, learns, and copes. The process usually involves an intake interview, two to four in-person testing sessions, and a written report with findings and recommendations, delivered about two to three weeks after the final session. Assessments are available for children, adolescents, and adults, and are conducted to recognized professional standards in Ontario. The testing portion is completed in person; interview portions can be held online for clients located in Ontario.

Frequently asked questions

What is involved in a psychological or psychoeducational assessment?
An assessment usually includes an intake interview, two to four in-person testing sessions, and a written report. The report sets out the findings and practical recommendations and is delivered about two to three weeks after the final session.
Do I need a referral to book an assessment?
No referral is required to book. Some extended health benefit plans ask for a physician's referral before they reimburse, so it is worth checking your plan directly.
Is an assessment covered by OHIP?
No. Psychological assessment is not covered by OHIP and is paid privately. Many extended health benefit plans reimburse part of the fee.
Can an assessment be used for the Disability Tax Credit or school accommodations?
An assessment can provide the documentation that supports an application, such as the CRA form T2201 or a request for college, university, or exam accommodations. The eligibility decision is made by the CRA or the institution, not by this practice.
Where do the testing sessions take place?
In-person testing is held at the Oakville office (591 Argus Rd) or the Georgetown office (170 Guelph St, Unit 1A). Interview portions can be held online for clients located in Ontario.
